Dr. David Nichols

Dr. David NicholsDr. Nichols has provided Belmont residents with Chiropractic care for over 25 years. Chiropractic has been a way of life for Dr. Nichols since he was a small child. When he was a young boy his father seriously injured his lower back and was told he needed surgery. He saw a chiropractor instead and returned to work one week later, without surgery. Two years after that his mother was having tremendous health problems. She was told she had bone spurs in her neck and needed surgery to "shave" them off. She also contacted a chiropractor, who said surgery was not only unnecessary but dangerous for her condition. Her chiropractic care returned her to better-than-before health, without the operation or drugs. His parents became chiropractic loyal supporters and introduced David to the benefits of preventative chiropractic care. In college Dr. Dave made the decision to dedicate his life's work to helping others through safe, gentle, effective, natural chiropractic care for the entire family. Dr. Nichols is a resident of Belmont and has been married to his wife Rita for 20 years, together they have two sons Conrad and Beau.

Dr. Nicole Asks some important questions of interest to Belmont residents - Chiropractor Belmont Dr. Nicole Asks...

What's the difference between chiropractic and medicine?
Medical treatment focuses on the disease or the symptom. Chiropractic focuses on the person with the disease or the symptom. Medical treatment usually involves changing blood chemistry. Chiropractic involves restoring nervous system integrity. Medical doctors prescribe medicine. Chiropractors adjust the spine—a common source of nervous system interference.
What's a side effect?
It may sound like a bonus; something extra, but chiropractors know it should more accurately called an "unintended effect," and "unwanted effect" or in some cases an "adverse effect." A pill can't come close to matching your body's ability to create and deliver the essential compounds it needs. That's when it's important to make sure your nervous system is working correctly—the purpose of chiropractic care!
